***All students must attend class in appropriate clothing for dance.
1. Ballet
Ballet students are required to wear a leotard (preferably black), tights (preferably pink) and appropriate ballet shoes. Please do not purchase the silk slippers from Walmart and Target to dance in. Skirts are allowed in class. *Please note: For instructors to properly correct body stance, posture, positions and turn out, the outline of the students body must be seen. Please pull hair up and out of the face (preferably a ballet bun).
2. Jazz
Appropriate attire for jazz can be leotards, jazz pants, crop pants, or jazz shorts. No sweats or pajamas! Please wear appropriate shoes for your level. I prefer black slip on jazz shoes for beginning levels. Shoes will be determined by your instructor for all other levels. Hair must be pulled up in a bun or ponytail.
3. Hip-Hop
Unlike Jazz; tanks, shirts, sweat pants, and sneakers are encouraged for this class. Due to the amount of floor work, shorts are not encouraged. Please wear comfortable clothes to dance in.
4. Tap
Tap dancers need to wear easy moving comfortable clothing to tap in. Tap focuses predominantly on foot work, so wear clothing that will not interfere with foot movement. Hair must be pulled up in a ponytail or out of your face.
5. Lyrical
Dancers are to wear leotards, footless or convertable tights, shorts, or jazz pants. You will be dancing barefoot in this class. Hair must be pulled up in a bun or ponytail.
6. Hula
Hula students need to be dressed in shorts and a comfortable t-shirt or tank. They must have a practice Pau'. Pau's are available at the studio. No shoes or socks. Please pull hair up in a bun or ponytail.
